Elebits
Elebits review
Welcome to my review of Elebits. Created by Konami for the Wii, Elebits is a new game developed especially with the Wii controller in mind. This game is developed by Konami and has you capturing creatures called Elebits to collect power. But can Elebits power on to the finish.
On the positive side the story is decent if not just a little childish. The game takes place in a world power not by fossil fuels but by hydrogen …. Sorry instead the world is powered by little creatures named Elebits, and it is your job to capture them all before they destroy the world. The story is bizarre and extremely child friendly but it is easy to overcome because the game is also easy to put down and pick up, making it easier to play a quick game and then get back to your Homework or Studying. The story is also interesting because it takes some strange and interesting twist and turns that will leave you wanting more. The second is that breaking things is fun. If you are anyone who loves to make a mess and not be the one to clean it up you are going to love this game. While searching for Elebits, completely furnished rooms that look like they are right out of a magazine will be laid to waste as you try to capture every last Elebit. The third is that the controls are great. The controls are the best first person shooter controls that you could find when the game was released, all of the most used controls are easy to reach. This is easy to say but not all the buttons on the controller are used more buttons would be nice but no complaints. The Wii pointer does take some getting use to but after you do the controls are easy.
On the negative side the graphics are blocky and parts of the game look like they are from a Nintendo 64 game. This is a problem because this makes long distance shots hard to do and because breaking some things really is not really breaking them as much as turning them into legos. Another problem with this is that sometimes you may find yourself shooting at an object thinking that it is an Elebit when in fact it is just a potato. Another flaw in this game is that you will find yourself revisiting old levels but now with restrictions like on how many things you can break. this is ok but and the restriction on things like how much you can break does add some challenge however revisiting what is basically the same level starts to make the game feel repetitive. The multiplayer is bad the biggest flaw. Instead of using different cameras for each player all the players share the same camera. This makes it hard to shoot any Elebits that you may find turning the multiplayer into a game of steal everyone else’s Elebits and it is way to easy for the game to get chaotic, especially if you are the type of person to take things seriously and player 2 is busy recreating the destruction of the city from that movie that no one ever watched.
because of all of the above this game gets a C.
