Ghostbusters Wii
Ghostbusters Review
Welcome to my review of Ghostbusters the game for the Wii. Atari brings Ghostbusters to the Wii In this version of the Ghostbusters game. This game developed by Red Fly Studio and Published by Atari Ghostbusters is Rated E10+. In high hopes I bring you the review for Ghostbusters the video game.
On the positive side the controls are decent, it is easy enough to walk around and the buttons that you use the most are easy to reach and the controls that are the hardest to reach are the ones that are the farthest away. This is good because nothing is more frustrating that having to reach for a button that you desperately need and not being able to reach it. Also the load times are long but not long enough to become a nuisance. So you do not have to worry about waiting hours just to play the game. This is also good because some other games like this one that look this good take a lot longer to load. And the story is great. It is a wonderful gift to all the Ghostbusters fans that still dreams about being a Ghostbuster. It is something that everyone is going to like. It wraps up a load of questions from the movies that one may have. Like were did the slime come from in that was in Ghostbusters 2. And finally this game has the best controls I have seen on the Wii.
On the negative side the game play is fun but it gets frustrating. Especially when there is 20 ghosts in the same room and you have to catch them all. Also when you are catching a ghost you have to use a Simon says interface where the screen will tell you either up down left or right and you have to wave the wii mote in that direction. The problem is when there is any more than a handful of ghost in the room it makes it extremely difficult to catch even one ghost. And some were flying directly over the trap that I set. They didn’t do that in the movies. Another problem with the game is that the focus is way to narrow. Once you finish the game there is nothing to do. There is no getting called in and catching random ghost. You could only play the game again but after you play the game the first time there is really nothing to do, I am still wondering what the money even does. And to make it even worse there is virtually no multiplayer. You can play the game with a friend but then it is split screen, The game does not take advantage of the Wii’s online power, and it is just playing the same story. They could have had a capturing the ghost contest or have one person be the ghost and have the other player try to capture them. They could have had a limit on the stuff that could be broken or have a breaking the items contest something like that but they did not.
because of all of the above this game gets a B.
